You've done the diets. You've counted the calories, cut the carbs, tracked the macros. And maybe it worked — for a while. But eventually, life happened. The plan fell apart. And somewhere along the way, you started to believe the problem was you.
It wasn't.
The diet industry is built on a lie: that if you just had more willpower, more discipline, more motivation, you'd finally get it together. But willpower isn't a personality trait. And discipline can't override biology, food engineering, or a story you've been telling yourself since you were twelve years old.
What if the missing piece wasn't another plan — but a completely different approach?
A 6-week group coaching program for those who are done with shame and ready for something that actually lasts.
The Nourished Life is not a diet. It's not a meal plan you follow for 21 days and abandon. It's a guided transformation that works from the inside out — combining cutting-edge nutrition science with the mindset work that most programs skip entirely.
In six weeks, you'll understand why your body holds onto weight (and exactly how to change that), rewrite the food story that's been quietly running your choices, and build a life so aligned with who you want to become that healthy eating stops being a battle.
You've lost weight before but couldn't keep it off — and you're tired of starting over
You have some knowledge about healthy eating, but want to know how to eat for weight loss
You feel like food has power over you — especially certain foods you can't seem to stop once you start
Negative self-talk around food and your body has become background noise you can't turn off
You want to feel good in your body so you can enjoy your life to the fullest
You want to lose weight for the long haul, not just for an event
You're looking for a quick fix or a rigid meal plan to follow
You're not open to doing any inner work alongside the nutrition
You want someone to tell you exactly what to eat every single day
Seven live sessions over six weeks. Each session is 45 minutes — 30 minutes of teaching followed by 15 minutes of live Q&A. Every session builds on the last, so by the end of week three, the pieces have become a complete picture.
Week1 - The Foundation: Gaining Clarity & Understanding Weight Loss (2 sessions)
Session 1: Gaining Clarity - In Order To Get There, You Most Know Where You Want To Go
We need to move out of autopilot and take agency in our lives in order to live the life we want. Your life is our gift to mold and make your own. But first, you must know what we truly want. Not what your family wants, not what society expects, but what your heart is yearning for.
Session 2: Weight Loss Basics — Work Smarter, Not Harder
You're not broken. You're navigating a food environment designed to work against you. We start here: understanding how insulin, hunger hormones, and processed food addiction actually work — and what you can do about it starting today. You'll leave this session understanding your body in a way no diet has ever explained.
Week 2: Your Future Self — Building a Life You Love
Lasting change isn't about motivation. It's about identity. We'll do a deep-dive into the science of habit and self-belief, and you'll build a vivid, joyful vision of your Future Self — the person whose habits you actually want to have. This session is the one clients call "life-changing."
Week 3: The Problem With Processed Foods — and How to Protect Yourself
Ultra-processed foods are engineered to override your body's natural signals. We'll look at exactly how that happens, why it's not a willpower problem, and how to build simple, doable boundaries that protect you without making food the enemy.
Week 4: Rewriting Your Food Story
Your relationship with food didn't start with your last diet. It started much earlier — in your family, in comments people made, in messages you absorbed about your body. We'll gently surface that story, separate fact from interpretation, and write a new one. This is awareness work, not therapy — but it's powerful.
Week 5: Meal Prep — Easier Than You Think
Forget the Instagram-perfect meal prep spreads. We'll talk about a realistic, flexible system that reduces friction, lowers food anxiety, and keeps you from making reactive choices when you're tired and hungry. You'll learn the 2-Anchor Method — two simple weekly staples that change everything.
Session 6: Exercising for Life — From Obligation to Identity
Movement isn't punishment. It's one of the most powerful things you can do for your brain, your bones, your metabolism, and your independence as you age. We'll reframe exercise entirely — and help you find a version of it you actually want to do.
7 live group coaching sessions via Zoom (recorded if you can't make one)
Live Q&A at the end of every session — your specific questions answered in real time
Private community group for connection, accountability, and support between sessions
15 whole-food, plant-based recipes to make nourishing eating practical and delicious
Weekly homework and reflection prompts to deepen the work between sessions
Session slides and resources so you can revisit the material anytime
Direct access to Rachel throughout the three weeks via the community platform
Lead by Rachel Alvarado, M.S., C.N.S. — a board-certified nutrition specialist with a master's degree in nutrition and years of experience helping hundreds of clients lose weight sustainably using a whole foods, plant-based approach. Rachel's method combines real nutrition science with the mindset work that makes it actually stick.
Most weight loss programs give you a plan. A list of what to eat, when to eat it, what to avoid. And for a little while, you follow it. Then life happens, and the old patterns come back — because nothing underneath actually changed.
The Nourished Life works differently because it addresses both sides of the equation: the science (what's actually happening in your body, your hormones, your hunger signals) and the story (what you believe about yourself, your capacity to change, and your relationship with food).
This isn't a shame-free program because we're going easy on you. It's shame-free because shame doesn't work — the research is clear on that — and because you deserve an approach that treats you like an intelligent adult who's been given the wrong tools, not someone who lacks willpower.
"You are not broken. You've just been using an unsustainable strategy."
Live attendance is encouraged because the Q&A is where a lot of the magic happens — but every session is recorded and available within 24 hours if life gets in the way.
The nutrition framework is rooted in whole-food, plant-forward eating. You don't have to be vegan or vegetarian, but if eating more plants is not something you're open to, this may not be the right fit.
No. The mindset and identity work in this program is self-awareness coaching, not clinical therapy. If you're working through significant trauma or a diagnosed eating disorder, this program can complement (but not replace) work with a licensed therapist.
Sessions are held on Zoom. The community group and course materials live on Practice Better, a professional health coaching platform.
The Nourished Life runs will run again in September, you can join the waitlist for the next cohort.
That's exactly why this program exists. Most programs give you information without addressing why the information doesn't translate into lasting change. The identity and story work in The Nourished Life is what makes it different — and it's what clients most often say changed everything for them.
The Nourished Life isn't another program to white-knuckle your way through. It's six weeks of learning to work with your body and your mind — and building the foundation for the kind of lasting change that doesn't require constant effort to maintain.
There are a limited number of spots in this cohort. When they’re gone the next opening will be in the fall.
